You can apply as long as you pay a Meralco bill that is named after you that has metered consumption in the past 3 months. If you are on Meralco’s net metering, time-of-use pricing, and Kuryente Load (K-Load), you will be automatically opted out of these programs if you join.

Not to you but there is a minimum that applies to your group. To switch, a customer needs at least 100 kW of peak demand. Most homes and small businesses are well below that on their own. This is exactly why we group you with other customers in your community—together, you reach the minimum and become eligible. You do not need a big bill to join.

The person named on the Meralco bill has to be the one who signs up, because they are the account holder. If that is a family member, your landlord, or your building, you can introduce us to them and we will handle the rest with them directly.

Submeters are billed by your landlord or your building, not by Meralco directly. The switch applies to the main Meralco meter, not to your submeter. You can still help by referring your landlord or building administrator to us. If the main meter switches, the lower rate can be passed on to you.

Yes, as long as the address on your Meralco bill is inside the same barangay as the group you are joining, and you are not on a special electricity program. Grouping has to be done within one barangay, so we can only combine meters that are in the same area. Even if you have solar panels, you can join — as long as you are not on net metering.

Yes, as long as you are not on net metering. Net metering locks you in with Meralco, and customers can switch but will be opted out of net metering. If you have panels for your own use and are not exporting power back to the grid under net metering, you can join.
